Samsung announces the GT-i8250 for China Mobile, with 4″ screen, 5 MP cam, and Android 2.3
A new Samsung Android smartphone is on its way to China Mobile, and got its official announcement today. It’s (uninspiringly) called GT-i8250, and it’s a midrange offering that will surely be competitively priced.
The Samsung i8250 has a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera, a 0.3 MP front-facing camera, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of ROM, microSD card support, a 1 GHz single-core Marvell processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, TD-SCDMA support (all-important for China Mobile), and a 1,650 mAh battery. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Judging from its specs, the i8250 looks like it’s basically a rehash of the age-old original Galaxy S. Same form factor, same screen size and resolution, and similar other specs. It’s just that this is tailor-made for China Mobile, of course.
Expect the i8250 in China Mobile stores pretty soon.
