Samsung’s Mobile Devices Topped the Global Green Competitiveness List

Samsung Electronics’ strategic flagship smartphone Galaxy Note II got green environmental marks in four countries after having been authorized to calculate the carbon footprint of electronic products with life cycle assessment by Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute for the first time in Korea. According to Samsung Electronics, Samsung can now count the carbon emissions of its mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. It is expected to save the time and money previously needed to calculate the carbon footprint throughout the product lifecycle of manufacturing, distribution, use, and discarding before getting the official certifications from green electronics certifiers.
