Samsung to launch 3 Windows Phone handsets in 2012, LTE-capable Mandel included

Nokia may be the most important hardware manufacturer for Windows Phone now, but that doesn’t mean other companies have to ditch Microsoft’s mobile platform. And they certainly won’t do that.

Samsung, for example, is reportedly getting ready to introduce three new Windows Phone handsets this year, sometime in the second half. That’s what Chinese website WPDang is saying. One of the new devices will be the Samsung Mandel SGH-i667, which features LTE connectivity, and a WVGA display. It should run Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh (aka Tango). The other two handsets are still a mystery, but it’s said they could come with Windows Phone Apollo on board.
