Samsung Poland unveils global Android 4.4 KitKat update list

Just two days ago Samsung USA released it’s list of devices eligible for Android 4.4 KitKat update, and today is the big day for the rest of the world. A Polish blogger Robert Nawrowski managed to get his hands on official list of Samsung devices that will receive update to latest Android version.

Information listed following devices:

  1. GALAXY Note 3
  2. GALAXY Note 2
  3. GALAXY S 4
  4. GALAXY S 4 Active
  5. GALAXY S 4 Mini
  6. GALAXY S 4 Zoom
  7. GALAXY Mega 6.3
  8. GALAXY Mega 5.8
  9. GALAXY Grand
  10. GALAXY Express 2
  11. GALAXY Note 8.0
  12. GALAXY Note 10.1
  13. GALAXY Note 10.1 2014 Edition
  14. GALAXY Tab 3 7.0
  15. GALAXY Tab 3 8.0
  16. GALAXY Tab 3 10.1

Many of you already asked why there is no Galaxy S 3 variants listed, and the answer is in our opinion quite simple, the Galaxy S 3 was released 20 months ago, which exceeds Android update timeframe which is 18 months after device release. On the second hand, the list is fairly short so maybe there is a spark of hope that some let’s say “older” devices will jump in later (if their hardware will allow that of course).

The next question you will probably want to hear answer for is – “WHEN?”. We (and the source) don’t have specific dates for specific models, but the rollout may be just around the corner!

We are keeping our fingers crossed, for the rest of devices and if you don’t want to miss any of update and get notification instantly after its release, pay close attention to our firmware or Live! pages.
