Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, 8-inch and 10.1-inch to launch worldwide in early June
In addition to the Galaxy Tab 3 with a 7-inch screen we’ve already seen, Samsung announced Today that the slate will come also in 8-inch and 10.1-inch sizes. The 8-inch version will pack a TFT display with 1280 x 800 resolution (WXGA), with density of 189 ppi, a 5MPx back shooter and 1.3MPx front-facing one. Tab internals are: a 1.5GHz dual-core SoC (no word yet about which manufacturer will be used), 1.5GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB internal storage, expandable by microSD slot, supporting up to 64GB cards, and a 4,450mAh battery that powers everything. When comes to connectivity, Tablet will pack a Dual-Band WiFi (a/b/g/n) with 3G and LTE options available. Operating system – with no surprises witll be Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
The 10.1-inch version packs the same WXGA display resolution (with pixel density of 149 ppi), a smaller 3MPx rear camera and a 1.3MPx front facing shooter. SoC inside will be 1.6GHz dual-core CPU (also of unknown brand/manufacturer), but it will only have only 1GB of RAM (which is surprise). The storage options are the same as the 8-inch model.
Both devices will be available worldwide in early June.
