Samsung GALAXY S III now available in India for 765 USD/620 EUR

Samsung’s third-generation Galaxy S smartphone has landed in India. The Galaxy S III is now available for purchase in the country for no less than Rs 43,180 (765 USD or 620 EUR) off-contract.

In addition, eligible Vodafone customers who purchase the device will also receive 3GB of mobile data for free, for the next two months.

Unlike the Canadian version that comes with 2GB of RAM and 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, the Indian variation packs only 1GB of RAM and an Exynos 1.4GHz quad-core CPU, which is complemented by a Mali-400MP GPU.

Moreover, the smartphone only features HSPA+ (21Mbps) support, whereas the Canadian models will be shipped on June 20 with LTE and/or HSPA+ (42Mbps) support.
