Samsung announces Galaxy Tab S series
During Galaxy Premiere 2014 event in New York, USA, Samsung finally introduced its WQXGA (2560×1600) super AMOLED packed Tablets.
Galaxy Tab S comes in 8.4 and 10.5 inch variants, both with WiFi (SM-T700, SM-T800) or Wifi + LTE (SM-T705, SM-T805) configurations. WiFi variants comes with Octa-Core big.LITTLE powered Exynos 5 (5420) with four Cortex-A15 Cores clocked at 1.9 Ghz and four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.3Ghz, and LTE models will ship with Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3Ghz.
Tablets configuration includes 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB internal memory expandabe by microSD cards (up to 128GB), 8MP back and 1.2MP front shooters, WiFI in 802.11ac standard with 2×2 MIMO support, NFC, BT 4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, USB 2.0, and plenty of sensors built-in (including fingerprint sensor). Smaller “Tab S” is powered by 4900 mAh battery and 10.5 variant is powered by 7900 mAh one.
Galaxy Tab S comes in two colours “Titanium Bronze” and “Dazzling White”. The retail price for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (WiFi-Only) is set to 399$ and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (WiFi-Only) at 499$. Both of devices will be available starting from July, 2014.
