liliputing: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet up for pre-order (again)
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a tablet with a 10.1 inch display, a quad-core processor, Android 4.0 operating system, a capacitive touchscreen and an active digitizer and digital pen for writing or drawing.
It’s basically the larger, tablet-style sibling to the 5 inch Galaxy Note smartphone.
First introduced in February, it looked like the Galaxy Note 10. 1 was almost ready to ship when it went up for pre-order last month. Then Amazon removed the listing.
Now the Galaxy Note 10.1 is up for pre-order again, this time from J&R and a few other retailers. They’re charging about $550.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos quad-core processor, 802.11n WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
It has 32GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear camera.
The tablet measures 10.1″ x 6.9″ x 0.35″ and weighs about 1.3 pounds.
While the quad-core CPU alone is enough to make the Galaxy Note 10.1 stand out in a crowded room, what really makes the tablet special is the S-Pen functionality which lets you use the included digital pen with your tablet, although you can also use your fingers.
