Know Your Cell: Mystery Verizon Samsung Android phone photo leaks (probably SCH-I200 “Jasper”)
We get an exclusive image of what appears to be a Verizon Android phone made by Samsung. Is this the Jasper?
A friendly tipster sent us this exclusive picture of a mystery Verizon Samsung device and while we’re not sure what it is, we can definitely say that it’s going to be an Android phone.
If you look at the bottom of the picture by the Verizon logo, you can make out the standard back, home and menu buttons that we associate with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices. While the screen kind of looks like the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S III, it’s missing the physical home button and all the U.S. variants lack carrier branding on the front.
I’m not sure if this could be considered a sequel to the Droid Charge but this could definitely be what has been code-named the Jasper, a mid-range Android, 4G LTE device. This device has already passed through the FCC and it should sport a WVGA screen, Snapdragon S4, Android Ice Cream Sandwich and a few other goodies.
We’ll dig for some more details ane keep you up to date. In the meanwhile, if you have any more tips, pictures or anything, feel free to send them our way.
