Android KitKat 4.4.2 Released for Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)
Today, Samsung started a wave of updates for its flagship devices to latest version of Android – KitKat 4.4.2. First region that get the official firmware is XEO (Poland), others to follow in the upcoming hours/days/weeks, but if you don’t want to wait longer, grab it from links below and flash using Odin!
Here’s a little update info:
Device: Galaxy Note 3 (Snapdragon 800)
OS: Android KitKat 4.4.2
Build Date: 09.01.2014
Region: XEO (Poland)
Since the latest update my phone (galaxy note 3) battery seems to be depleting more rapidly. Is this directly caused by the update?
Why is there no Android Update for Galaxy Tab3 8 SM 311 (3g) ?
I will never buy Samsung Devices anymore, because you will never get any updates....

We need upgrade to 4.4.4 for SM-N9005 (KSA) to resolve the following issues that have occurred after upgrading to 4.4.2:
Compass, ambient temperature sensor and other Gyroscope sensor or relevant applications are no longer working.
Screen rotation is stuck in landscape position. You need to uncheck it auto rotation to return to portrait position.
All above works for while after rebooting or factory reset.
Local authorized Samsung technician has confirmed that this is not a hardware issue.
Samsung SM T311 Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 3G need Kit kat update plus security patch. It is too long time to wait
If I use this upgrade will my phone still have update pushed to my phone or will it only update from download firmware
it wont allow going to stock 4.3 after upgrading to kitkat due to the na6 bootloader .. keep that in mind
I read one of your suggestions here about holding 3 buttons down together and clearing the cache and rebooting...I did this and now no more battery problem (or any other) Thanks :)
Yes you are right. Kitkat has gyroscope software problem beside battery depliting .
