[ROM] OC’s Ice Cream Sandwitch RC3-PLUS v3 by STOCKPLUS

This version is based on Onecosmic’s RC3 and provides variety of FIXES and ADDITIONAL APPS that were not present in Onecosmic’s RC3 release.

It is exact same framework and kernel as you will find in Onecosmic’s RC3 but there are some FIXES and UPGRADES provided with STOCKPLUS package listed below.

This is why it is called RC3-PLUS by STOCKPLUS not ICS by STOCKPLUS.

In this package will find all fixes from RC3 by Onecosmic PLUS ones listed below.

FULL changelog for v3 release:

+ Instalation Script – cleaned

+ Instalation Package – compressed

+ modem change: to XXJVU (the ‘value pack’ leak one) – not changed in 9000B version

+ visual change: boot animation (darker + more vivid)

+ deleted doubled busybox in /system/bin/

+ system app: change: Contacts for T9 dialer (number->contacts)

+ system app: fix: NetworkLocation (so it actually works)

+ system update: busubox updated from 1.8.1 to 1.19.3

+ app added: OI File Manager

+ app added: Aries Parts (to control kernel functions)

+ app added: Galaxy Live Wallpaper

+ app added: Google Books Tablet

- app removed: Google Plus (incorrect signature)

Maps is quite big, probably will not squeze it to get into /system/ partition
maybe in nutella ics release we will be able to compress apps enought to put all google apps into /system/ :)

but atm it is working beta interna version work in progress

just install it but i see Spirit FM not working on my GT I9000. it say Error : No FM accessible.why?

Open the app go to settings, set Your Region and from Audio pick Method and GalaxyS ALSA

There is a problem with app reported with loudspeaker calls or bluetooth calls (do not remember exact)
but it was reported to app developer so we will probably see a fix for that in next app version.

sadly it will not. most important differences between i9000 and i9001 is cpu/gpu – and that is a lot

only change in 3.1 is kernel with voodoo color
aside of that there are apps that we have already from v1

I flashed RC3 PLUS v3 over 2.1, but platypus kernel doesn’t support voodoo sound. Without it i can’t really enjoy my music, therefore my question: which kernel do you recommend, or is there a workaround of some sort, like a patch or something? Tank you!

How can I change the ringtone? I mean: I can change, but I only can choose from a determinate list. How can I put a ringtone wich is save it in my SDcard?

To add your own ringtone, check the root for a folder called “Ringtones” if it is there, just add your own into there, reboot and you should see them. If the folder does not exist, then add it, EXACTLY as I have written it (without the quotes). If you want to set your own notifications, do the same but them in a folder called “Notifications”

Both folders are on the root of the sdcard

no infact it is as simple as picking the ringtone in stock music player (the one with speaker) nd then using option use as a ringtone. simple as that

if you want latest possible version – then you take one that got highest changelog number
if thats not the case pick latest for your region
